Cryotech enters into a strategic alliance with the Dutch Rootselaar Group

Cryotech Co Ltd, a company in Bangkok-Thailand, specialized in manufacturing and servicing of cryogenic storage tanks, has entered into a strategic alliance with the Netherlands based Rootselaar Group. The Rootselaar Group is leading in pressure vessel and cryogenic storage equipment technologies. Part of the group are, among others, Tankbouw Rootselaar and Cryovat. The strategic alliance is structured in a new joint venture company, Cryotech Asia Co Ltd, in which the Rootselaar Group will take a 50% interest. Cryotech and the Rootselaar Group had been cooperating since a few years already in the service area. The main reasons for Cryotech to enter into a strategic relation with the Rootselaar Group are to attract new technologies and to improve its international marketing capabilities. The reasons for the Rootselaar Group to invest in Cryotech are to better tap the potential of the growing South East Asian markets and to establish a service point in Asia for their European clients. The new joint venture has an ambitious plan to invest in new equipment and technology transfers. This investment project is supported by a THB 35 mln grant of the Dutch government. The Thai government granted the new company full BoI incentives. The transaction advisor was Larive International.
